Summary

The episode begins with Dr. J showing off his new experiment in Hydrothermal watering to Andrew. Mrs. Shellenbach storms up with a complaint about the system leaking over into her yard, and she and Dr. J trade some juicy insults.

We then cut to inside the Clement's house where Stephanie and Erin are discussing ice-skating lessons. Erin feels she needs more if she is to have any chance at winning the ice-skating contest. Andrew makes an opportune appearance and is promptly volunteered to give Erin her desired lessons.

Meanwhile, Dr. J has fallen into a melancholy about his life, or lack thereof. He decides that the only way to improve his love life is by tinkering with the chemical balances in his brain to give him the necessary courage. Any MSI fan should know by now that this is a bad idea, but Dr. J apparently has yet to learn a prime rule about volunteering in laboratory experiments: don't. He has invented an Electro-Magnetic Bio-Chemical Inducer, which he plans to test on himself.

The Bio-Chemical Inducer works, sort of, but not the way anyone would have planned. It splits Dr. J's personality into two -- one of which starts courting Shellenbach. This same personality has no knowledge of Andrew or Ultraman.

At the ice-rink practicing, Andrew and Erin run into Jeffcoate, now calling himsef Jeffe, and Ruth kissing. Andrew wants to help Dr. J back to his senses, but it's almost too late. Jeffe has not only written really bad poetry for Ruth, but has bought her an engagement ring.

Andrew tries to shock Ben's two identities whole with a flying demonstration. It's not enough. The next step involves locking Dr. J in the basement until a cure is found, but Andrew is the one who ends up locked in the basement. He escapes by pouring acid on the lock. He then intercepts Jeffe and Ruth at the ice-rink in time to interrupt the proposal by knocking them down. The bang on the head reassembles Jeffcoate's personalities with no lasting ill effect.
