Andrew: Actually, it was more like 'spying'. Summary Andrew has a pen pal, who happens to be in prison. Concurrently, Dr. J is inventing a laser processer, which eventually could be the ultimate copier. Andrew invites Dr. J to dinner at Stephanie's behest. That night, another guest also comes to dinner ... Andrew's pen pal, John. John's release from jail is not without its problems. For one thing, he develops an interest in Stephanie and Andrew doesn't approve. As the tension mounts, so do the other problems. Dr. J has been tinkering with the laser processor, turning it from a copier into a weapon. Andrew visits John at his house and overhears part of a rather incriminating conversation. An "old friend" of John's wants him to steal Dr. J's laser, and uses John's feelings towards the Clements as leverage. What Andrew doesn't hear is John's refusal to participate. That night, Andrew takes up watch. He witnesses the break-in, and super- speeds to the rescue. Now in possession of the laser, he almost sleeps through the second robbery, as the "friend" tries to make up for the robbery that Andrew stopped. He wakes up just in time. His invulnerabilty once again saves the day because the laser doesn't affect him. The "friend" is captured by the police, all the while believing that the laser is worthless.
