Andrew: Eat your heart out, Peter Pan.
Summary
Andrew is jogging to school one morning when he encounters Shaun, a star Briarwood football
player, trying to get his stalled car to run. Andrew offers to help. Using his superstrength, he
succeeds to pushing the car to a start. Shaun offers him a ride to school, which Andrew accepts.
After school, Shaun offers to drive Andrew home. Andrew is introduced to Nicole, a pretty
senior, and to underaged drinking. Shaun, his girlfriend, and Nicole crack open a cooler filled
with beer and convince Andrew to have one.
Later that day, after playing guinea pig for Dr. J, Andrew catches up with his new friends at the
beach. Once again, beer is flowing freely. Andrew and Nicole go jetskiing and really start to hit
it
off.
They're both quite drunk by the time they return home. Andrew kisses Nicole goodbye and flies
off . . . straight into a tree. The crash leaves an a large bruise on his forehead.
When he returns home, his mother smells the alcohol on his breath and confronts him. He runs
to
his room and passes out on his bed.
The next morning, Andrew goes to Dr. J's hoping to borrow the new electronic accupunture
device to ease his hangover. Dr. J also confronts him. Andrew blows up at him and storms off
to
school.
At school, Andrew first has to deal with Kirk's teasing. Then he finds out from Nicole that
everyone is going to the beach again the next day, but she'll only go if he goes.
While Andrew is at school, Stephanie stops by Dr. J's to find Andrew and ends up finding
support. Stephanie allows Andrew to go to the beach again, but only if he promises not to drive
with them. He does.
Nicole and Andrew both choose not to drink that day. Shaun doesn't understand this. When
Nicole goes to rescue a drifting jet-ski, Shaun follows her out and they go for a quick ride.
Showing off, he spills Nicole into the water. Andrew has to super-speed swim out to rescue her. Shaun's
reckless behaviour on the jet-ski is the last straw for his girlfriend. She refuses to put up
with his alcoholic behaviour any longer.
Nicole was only bruised and scared, thanks to Andrew's timely rescue. And Andrew learns some
important lessons about drinking.
