Mrs. Shellenbach: Now you know that violence never solves anything . . . Trey, touch my man and I'll do a wheeley on your face!

Summary

The Rocket -- roller-skating rink and premiere hangout for the citizens of Briarwood.

After 40 years, the owner has lost his lease. The rink is to be torn down and replaced with high-rise apartments. However, the rink holds too many memories for too many people: It's where Andrew and Kirk first met; where Stephanie first revealed to her husband that she was pregnant (with Andrew); where a young Dr. J. had his first kiss; and where Mrs. Shellenbach led the Bruise Brothers roller derby team to three consecutive championships.

Andrew makes it his duty to save The Rocket. He starts a petition, Kirk chains himself to the Rocket door, Stephanie tries to get the building declared a historical landmark, and Ruth offers to bump some heads. All the plans fail. As the developer declares: It would take a miracle to save the Rocket.

On the last day of the Rocket, Clements and gang turn out to watch the destruction. Andrew, unable to just stand by, superspeeds into the building and deflects the first two swings of the wrecking ball, to the confusion of everyone watching. However, he's standing outside with the others when the wrecking ball is mysteriously stopped on the third swing.

The developer decides that it's too much hassle to tear down the Rocket, afterall. The building is saved. And who, or what, stopped the wrecking ball is still unknown.
