"Champaign Bubbles" played backwards is actually 'Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!' You heard it here first. This is the digitalized meister on Gonzo Radio smashing all preconceived notions. In your face and gettin' busy. Crank it up. Jam on it. Get outta the way.

Summary

Classic Rock 108 is broadcasting from Briarwood high school, and Andrew and Kirk are not impressed with the musical selection. Andrew suggests to Kirk that the station should hire them to show how it's done.

As it comes to pass, Dr. Jeffcoate is cleaning out his storage room and finds an old radio transmitter which he used to use to talk to people around the world. Andrew scams it off him by implying that he wants to use it for the same thing.

Meanwhile, he leaves Dr. J with a water sample that was part of a lab test that Andrew failed -- he found lead in it and his teacher said it was iron. Andrew wants Dr. J to test it.

Back at the Clement's, Kirk hams it up with the transmitter while Andrew tries to figure out if it works. Believing that it doesn't, they put on a show for an audience of two.

The next day at school they hear all about this wonderful new radio station. While they try to figure out how everyone can know about it except them, three students talking about the show pass by. They're quoting and commenting on things Andrew and Kirk said the previous night.

The two throw themselves all into it, and prove that they're natural comedians when given free reign with illegal radio. They quickly become the hit of the school.

But trouble looms. The station owner of Classic Rock 108 is very unhappy about losing the high school audience and decides to report the pirate station to the Federal Broadcasting Commission.

On top of which, Dr. J's analysis of the water sample proves that the school's drinking water is contaminated with lead. Andrew decides to put the pirate station to positive use by putting out a warning of the contaminated water.

When the FBC cracks down on the pirate station, Kirk's solution is to take it mobile. He convinces Andrew to load the equipment into a van and go from there. A quick talk with Dr. J convinces Andrew that it's okay to buck the system if it's for a good cause.

The FBC entraps Andrew and Kirk by baiting with them with promises of a chance to get an exclusive interview with their favourite band. This is just when the boys are going to make their announcement about the contaminated water. Dr. J recognises the FBC van because he designed the antenna they're using. An automobile chase ensues.

Dr. J makes his announcement while on the run. They finally get pulled over, but Andrew has a solution. While Dr. J and Kirk stall the FBC, Andrew takes the transmitter into the air and makes his closing announcement while flying. This gets Dr. J and Kirk off the hook with the FBC.

And the broadcast was a success. The students boycott the schools' cafeterias until administration agrees to fix the pipes. Not only that, but Gonzo Radio was so popular that the school grants the boys a legal station on which to continue it.
