My Old Flame

Guest Stars Andrea Roth (Krista) D. Jan Dawes Summary In the middle of the school parking lot, Andrew runs into an old girlfriend, Krista (Andrea Roth). Trouble is, she's Kirk's girl now. Kirk becomes jealous of the existing relationship between Andrew and Krista, while they try to convince him they anything that felt for each other is long over. Emotions between Andrew and Krista were merely laying dormant. Sparks fly and Krista leaves Kirk for Andrew, without telling Kirk why. Kirk puts Andrew is charge of getting him back together with Krista because "I trust you . . . You're just friends. You told me so." Kirk's trust is mislaid; or maybe the hormones of teenagers are just stronger than friendship, because the plan doesn't quite work. Kirk finds out that all is not as it seems. This puts a serious wrent in their friendship, ending in Kirk punching Andrew out. It's too bad Andrew isn't still invulnerable. First Krista comes between them; then she tears them apart. Andrew decides his friendship with Kirk is more important. As he says, "I didn't mean for anyone to get hurt, and now we all are." B-Plot: Erin decides to enliven Dr. J's life by reintroducing him to old flames. She starts with Brooke Carleson, who had the distinction of having her picture next to Dr. J's in his high school yearbook. The attempt fails miserably. Brooke is a workaholic to the nth degree, which is why all her past relationships failed. Erin offers to try again and Dr. J runs her off.
