The story

Supergreat is an app that allows a community of real beauty enthusiasts to come together to share their makeup, skincare, and hair care routines, review products, and shop daily drops. Supercoins, the in-app currency, can be earned by creating reviews, inviting friends, and entering challenges on Supergreat. These are then able to be redeemed and used to buy products from hundreds of brands. 

Supergreat also allows users to ask each other questions and host live shows. There are currently over 1,000,000 reviews of over 250,000 products on the app. 

The team at Supergreat came to Galactic Fed looking to increase app installs and drive in-app purchases through both paid media campaigns and an improved SEO strategy. 

Paid Ads Strategy: 

Galactic Fed started by running paid media campaigns on Meta and TikTok. On Meta, their focus was highly on testing creatives and seeing what worked. The team tested multiple audiences, locations (United States vs. Canada), and different placements of ads (Feed vs. Reels vs. Stories or Combined). 

The team also considered the different types of campaign structures for testing the core and test campaigns and using existing shells. The various campaign structures played a significant part in improving the overall performance of the account. 

Galactic Fed’s TikTok strategy was very similar to Meta, except for a few key differences. The strategy for TikTok was heavily focused on testing different creatives in terms of videos and ad copy, but also built ads vs. Spark ads from the Supergreat account and Spark ads through creator accounts. 

Spark Ads are a native ad format that enables you to leverage organic TikTok posts and their features in your advertising. They are a way to organically fit in a user’s feed and catch their attention effortlessly.

With these creative tests, the team was able to find information and create new assets to achieve better results. In addition, different audiences were tested. 

Galactic Fed also started optimizing for app installs and continues to do so, with a big focus now on driving in-app purchases. 

SEO Strategy:

With a customized and effective SEO strategy, Galactic Fed provided Supergreat with monthly Google Best Practices (GBP) Site Audits, quarterly keyword research, content creation, link building, and an analytics dashboard.

Their main goals were to build links and create high-quality, relevant content for Supergreat’s blog section while also working to fix any issues on the site found through GBP audits. 

The Success:

With Galactic Fed’s help, Supergreat saw tremendous success with both their paid media campaigns and SEO strategy. This resulted in skyrocketing organic traffic, app installs, impressions, and a substantial decrease in cost per install (CPI).
