Hourly on-demand, up to 30 hours per week depending on client needs.

Work Schedule:

Working hours must overlap with EST business hours (9am – 5pm EST) for at least five hours each day. We expect team members, especially client-facing, to be available 9am – 5pm EST (New York Time). Non-client-facing team members have flexible hours but must ensure their schedule is coordinated with their immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Content Planning and Strategy: Identify the intent of keywords and create titles and overviews for each, based on SEO best practices. This also involves doing mini keyword research work.
Content Brief Creation: Write content briefs for approved titles, based on top ranking articles, SEO requirements, and ranking opportunities.
Meta Copy Creation: Write, review, and edit meta copy recommendations that follow SEO best practices
Content Optimization: Edit articles for SEO optimization. This includes updating information, keyword placement, internal linking, and overall improvement of articles.
Reviewing Guest Posts articles
- Check relevancy and placement of anchor texts.
- Make minor edits to enhance the article’s quality.
- Provide daily feedback to GP writers after reviewing their work.
Updating old articles for re-pitching. This involves replacing irrelevant links and fact-checking old info before pitching to a new prospect SEO. This is done when the original writer is no longer with Galactic Fed or is unavailable.
Support content projects within the organization
Perform content-related ad hoc tasks as necessary
Organization of content files and documents
Supporting the Content Editor as a Project Manager

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in creating, editing, or managing content for businesses
Excellent command of the English language
Exceptional writing, research, and editorial skills.
Has high standards for content
Solid understanding of SEO
Can effectively communicate feedback and insights to the team
Proficiency with basic Google applications (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc)
Organized, has great attention to detail, and has great time management skills
Self-motivated and can work independently
Reliable
Experience working in a global environment is preferred
