The story

OERP Canada helps organizations take full advantage of their ERP (Enterprise resource planning) and business application software with Odoo (a suite of business management software tools) while advising on best practices. Their key audiences include Canadian Small to Medium businesses that want to lower their costs and increase efficiency.

Realizing their website’s positioning doesn’t reflect OERP Canada’s vast experience in the field, they employed Galactic Fed’s help to bring up their SEO game.

The Strategy

Considering the client’s nascent history of the SEO best practices, the team at Galactic Fed advised to start with the basics. 

They ran the Google Best Practices SEO audit and identified technical issues on the site, some of which were immediately solved by the client. Next, Galactic Fed SEO experts created an analytics dashboard for efficient tracking of the site traffic and KPIs. They also conducted the backlinks audit to evaluate the health of the profile and identify opportunities.

The content strategy included optimizing own blog articles created by the client and crafting guest posts for link-building (aiming for at least 1500 points per month). 

The keywords strategy focused on topics around CRM for small business, various Odoo modules and their features, pain points small business owners encounter in their work, and practical tips and guides.

The Success

The more the better isn’t always the case. Despite decrease in referring domains and pages (23% and 10% accordingly), OERP Canada’s own domain rating went up 10 points showing a much stronger backlink profile compared to pre-Galactic Fed period. This is thanks to replacing less valuable directory and domain listing sites links with more authoritative ones from the relevant articles published during the link-building campaign.

Increase in all other stats also illustrates the suitability of the recommended approach:

  • 945% increase in organic traffic
  • 67% increase in keywords ranking in top 100
  • 44.35% increase in all users sessions
  • 91.67% increase in engaged organic sessions
  • 109% increase in all impressions (branded + non branded)
  • 37.11% increase in all clicks (branded + non branded)
